General Information
Huskies generally don't bark, they more frequently yodel when excited. If you are looking for a guard dog the Husky is not for you. They are very affectionate and love human company. Please do not consider getting a husky if you are not able to spend time with them on a regular basis. HUSKIES don't like being left alone for long periods.
The Huskies coat consists of dual layers. A dense undercoat and a longer course topcoat generally consisting of short straight hair. Huskies generally shed their coat twice a year and when shedding they shed a lot. Whenever you take a Husky out of an enclosed yard always ensure they are on a leash. If you are thinking of getting a Husky you need to have a very secure yard. Huskies love to run and if the they escape you won't see them for dust.
